The Real Thing
For some reason the local Toyota dealer has been waiting six months for their orders of this oil to come in, and has been selling 0W20 to customers instead. This was the right stuff, genuine Toyota, and cost a tiny bit less. I’ll be using it from here on out. Mileage and Longevity are pretty much irrelevant since I change the oil at 5K mile intervals, about half what the factory provides as part of their free service policy. And since they don’t use the correct oil anyway, I’ll either change it myself or give them this oil to use. BTW, I changed the oil and filter at 1K miles. Didn’t feel comfortable leaving that stuff in for 10K miles to the first free service.

Really good product but has some concerns
I’m quite fond of this product and have previously used it for my last oil change. However, I’m apprehensive about the manufacturing date of the product I received. I assumed it would be relatively new when I ordered it, but it turns out it was manufactured in 2020. Given that synthetic engine oil typically has a shelf life of about 5 years, it’s nearing expiration. Consequently, I need to return it. It would be beneficial if the seller or Amazon provided the product’s manufacturing date before purchase to avoid the inconvenience of buying and returning it, which consumes both time and energy. This experience has made me hesitant to make future purchases since I’m uncertain about the product’s age.
