  1. Castrol Edge 5W-20: My Engine’s New Best Friend (A Review)
Castrol Edge 5W-20 is a premium full synthetic motor oil touted for its strength and performance. I’m a driver who values both, so I put it to the test in my daily driver. Here’s the verdict:Pros:Smoother Operator: The first thing I noticed was a significant improvement in engine smoothness. Gone was the slight roughness at idle, replaced by a purring refinement that had me smiling behind the wheel.Power Unleashed: Acceleration felt sharper, with the engine responding more eagerly to throttle inputs. The claimed reduced friction seemed to translate into real-world driving.Thermal Titan: Even during hot days, the oil temperature remained remarkably stable. No worrying oil breakdown or engine overheating – just cool confidence behind the wheel.Extended Endurance: The promise of extended oil change intervals is tempting, but I’ll stick to my manufacturer’s recommendations for now. However, knowing the oil can handle longer intervals is reassuring for occasional road trips.Cons:Pricey Potion: Castrol Edge is definitely not the cheapest oil on the shelf. But for the performance and peace of mind it provides, the premium might be worth it for performance-driven drivers. Not for Old Timers: While great for modern engines, Castrol Edge might not be the best choice for older, high-mileage vehicles. Consult your owner’s manual or a mechanic for specific recommendations.Overall:Castrol Edge 5W-20 is a clear winner for drivers who demand the best for their engines. It delivers noticeable improvements in smoothness, power, and thermal stability, making it a worthy investment for those who prioritize performance and protection. Just be prepared for the premium price tag.Happy driving!

  2. Decent oil for the price
I change the oil in my vehicles every 3,500 to 4,000 and Castro Edge makes it affordable to do so.I did have a sample of the oil sent out to a lab to be test and the results were all within the norm.Since my wife is a Dasher and the miles add up quick. Because it only takes about between one and two months to put the 4,000 threshold I think this is a perfect oil to use for frequent changes.I am not one of those people who allow 7,500, 10,000 or 15,000 between oil changes, but I do not want to pay $60 for an oil change every two months.

  3. A real 20k mile oil!
I’ve used many synthetic oils over the years and even most full synthetic ‘long life oils’ tend to break down at about 15k miles, but not this one. I love the performance, the carbon neutral footprint, the value and the brand reliability of this Castrol product. I use it in caravans/pentastar, Corolla and Lexus vehicles. I also find that the large opening on the container allows for easier pouring and makes it easier to refill with the old oil for recycling.

  4. 👍Best oil I have ever used – My GMC Terrain has a drinking problem (oil) 2.4 engine
I have been using high quality oil for years. I bought a GMC Terrain that had excessive oil use issues. I bought a new oil plug, an AC Delco filter with a better seal and a new oil filler cap with a better seal. That did slow it down but still used about 1 quart every 1,000 miles. My new mechanic suggested I try Castrol 5w30 Advanced Full Synthetic with Dexos..so I did. What a difference. The oil has a better consistency, I have driven 750 miles since my oil change without adding a drop😳 Is this magic oil or what? I also paired it with an AC Delco Oil Filter from Amazon. If you are experiencing oil use issues from the 2.4 engine ..try this. As usual the best price is on Amazon. 👍Update- 7/16/24 – 1,116 miles and not one drop of oil 😳 If you have a 2.4 L engine buy this oil, on sale now on Prime Day. Get a new Oil plug an AC Delco filter on Amazon and this may also be magic combination for your vehicle. ❗️I tried everything for 3 years and these 3 things worked❗️

  5. Perfect
Easy of installation, good appearance and service, great value for money. Great product. I recommend it! I used for my Toyota.

  6. I like Castrol
I did a review on Castrol on another post for my Fiat 500x, we used this version on my wifes high mileage car and it works great. I have been using Castrol for years and would recommend it to anyone.

  7. Se siente el vehículo muy sereno , sin golpeteos ni ningún ruido , aceleración y funcionamiento mejor por mucho que otros aceites que he probado en mi Jetta A4.
