Castrol EDGE High Mileage with Fluid TITANIUM Technology is the natural choice for drivers who demand maximum performance from their high mileage cars, which often operate at extreme temperatures. Castrol EDGE High Mileage provides up to 10X better high temperature performance than the latest industry standard to ensure optimal protection and oil flow over the drive cycle. As your car ages, it can lose performance and efficiency and is also more prone to catalytic converter failure. Castrol EDGE High Mileage is liquid engineered with Phosphorous Replacement Technology to reduce harmful phosphorus to protect the catalytic converter and preserve the life of your emission system. Castrol EDGE High Mileage helps your car defy its miles and extend maximum performance.

Customers say

Customers like the cleanliness, quality, value, and performance of the auto oil. For example, they mention it’s good at reducing wear and keeping things clean, it’ll never have an engine problem or failure, and it’d be a good value for the price. That said, some say the performance is incredible and it works well.

  1. Great Oil – Used in all our cars
I’ve used Castrol Edge for a while and been very happy with it. I’ve used it in my wife’s BMW X3 since we purchased it and it now has 152K miles on it. I’ve been using it my high mileage Acura TL for quite a while. The TL has 286K miles on the original engine and does not burn oil and still runs great (it’s been an amazingly reliable car). I use Edge 5w-30 in my daughter’s 328i as well.
BMW branded oil used to be made by Castrol (I don’t recall who makes it currently) and it’s been great in all our cars. I use premium oil filters (Mann for BMW and Purolator One for the Acura) and try to change it every 5,000-7,000 miles.
I know they say the oil can go 10,000 miles (and I’m sure it can), but I’m a big believer in keeping clean oil in my cars and it’s honestly cheap and easy maintenance and gives a little extra insurance against premature wear.
The fact that my TL is still going strong with almost 300K miles tells me that using high quality oil and filters that are changed regularly is the key to engine longevity. You can’t beat 5 quarts of great oil for under $30 and it gets dropped right on my doorstep.

  2. Love it.
Good for the price. I changed my oil for the first time…Thought it was hard to change, it’s super easy.

  3. Good oil
I got this oil to replace the oil in my Special Ladyfriend’s car when the dealership stopped using 0w20 synthetic and started using cheaper 10w30 conventional oil, but charging the same amount for the service work.
This is great oil, I use the 5w30 weight of this in my truck and it runs great at over 100,000 miles, so using this in her car was a no-brainer. Her car runs excellent on this oil and it is also approaching 100,000 miles and is still going strong.
We use quality filters (Wix, Mobil 1, Bosch) and change oil at 5,000 miles and this strategy has done well for us, no major repairs. I highly recommend this oil!!

  4. It’s oil – it does what oil does
I have a couple of older high mileage cars, and this stuff seems to keep them chugging along quite nicely. Whatever they put in it seems to work well. Or maybe it’s just the manufacturer did a really good job designing the car and I’m good at babying them. Who knows 🙂

  5. Castrol oil
Product is what I ordered. It will be far easier when I need it in the future to just go to my favorite auto parts store and get it when I can get about the same price there and I don’t have to wonder when it is going to show up.

  6. Se usó para el cambio de aceite de un VW Jetta, el aceite estuvo bien,,,lo malo fue el tiempo que tardó,,,casi dos semanas, muy mal con la paquetería del vendedor
