High grade synthetic oil for diesel and gas engines
I have been sold on synthetic oils for over thirty years. Back in the day, a good friend of mine had owners circle passes from Audi to the Trans-am race in Brainerd. This was 1988, when Audi was dominating the field. Anyway, I was a major motor-head at the time and got into a discussion with the pit boss about engine oil. I listened in rapt attention as he extolled the virtues of synthetic motor oil. Ever since then, I have always depended on synthetic oil and it has never let me down.
Even though the label says “Diesel”, the manufacturer, Triax, has stated on their website “It is also recommended for gasoline vehicles requiring a 5W-40 viscosity engine oil.” which is also buried in the Amazon listing as well.
The 1 quart size is great for keeping in the vehicle for those times when you are a little low on a road trip and don’t want to settle for the crap oil they sell at the gas station.
All-in-all, I think this is a good, high quality oil for engine fluid connoisseurs. I would totally recommend.
Good 5W-40 Synthetic Motor Oil
This oil seems to work anywhere a 5W-40 synthetic oil is recommended. Although difficult to evaluate fully with just one quart, it works well in some of my smaller motors, and so far, there are no problems. I did not test it in my car since I would have had to mix it with a different brand of oil, and that is never a good idea. It does not seem to break down any differently from other brands of oil when used in smaller engines that have high run times in dusty conditions. It arrived quickly. Unfortunately, when it arrived, there was quite a bit of leakage inside the package, which made a mess. I would get this again.
No it didn’t work for me
I didn’t like it the oil burn out to quick for bmw with twin turbo
It worked
This oil was just right for my car. Didn’t have any issues with it and it was delivered pretty fast. Totally worth it.
So far so good.
I got this “TRIAX Euro VX 5W-40 Full Synthetic, 25K Miles, Extreme Performance OEM Grade” to try. Used it on a family Mercedes c300 and put about 1500 miles on it so far and no surprise at the moment.
I will update the review if anything changes.
Excellent longevity in high and low temp conditions
This full synthetic 5W-40 extended life oil is made in the US, and sports DPF/SCR/EGR protection for 25,000miles or 2years. This is suitable for your vehicle whether or not you have DPF/SCR (diesel particulate filter/selective catalytic reduction) diesel emission system installed. The 5W(winter) aspect of this oil outperforms most 0W alternatives and can perform down to -45F. I still have a few months to go till I can see the performance of this in winter conditions, and we only get to -10F occasionally in my area. This oil should easily protect my vehicle through our frigid winter conditions and continue to protect it in hotter weather under greater levels of thermal stress. This is a high-quality formulation with excess of double the life of general OEM oils, and considerably more reductions in deposits.
LOOKS FINE TO ME.
Or, more accurately, the outside of the bottle is identically shaped to the quart bottle of the brand I customarily use. I didn’t open it and have no timetable on when I might do so, if ever. This is an emergency situation supply and when time comes to change the oil, I’m not going to be doing it or will I be buying more of this brand to hand to the dealer service technician. From available documentation, this variety is represented to meet my car manufacturer’s specifications, so for sitting in the trunk of the car in case I happen to be a little low whenever I check levels, it will meet the objective.
